PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Our partner empowers businesses worldwide with their global trading network, enabling seamless connectivity with over one million companies, including many universally renowned brands. Their high-performance network includes more than 180,000 pre-configured trading partner maps, making expanding your reach easy, regardless of platform or system. With fully managed EDI and automatic updates, the clients maintain complete compliance without any trouble.
The project’s leading technologies are IBM RPG, IBM i, RPG IV, RPG Free Format, CL, and EDI.
Project tools and processes are common to agile development teams (Jira).

APPLY FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

Proven experience as an IBM RPG Developer, with a strong understanding of IBM i (AS/400) architecture;
Proficiency in RPG IV, RPG Free Format, CL (Control Language), and SQL on the IBM i platform;
Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and integration projects;
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting and performance optimization;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote, fast-paced environment;
Knowledge of trading partner integration, supply chain management, or ERP systems is a plus;
Upper-Intermediate or higher English language proficiency;
An opportunity to work in the Latvian timezone or near (GMT ’till GMT+4).

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Developing applications using IBM RPG (Report Program Generator) on the IBM i platform;
Implementing scalable solutions that integrate with the global trading network;
Troubleshooting issues in existing applications and processes;
Optimizing existing code for improved performance and maintainability;
Participating in the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, and deployment.
Providing ongoing support and maintenance of existing systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
