The team at Diatom Enterprises is very proud to announce that we will be hosting our first public technical workshop. The topic of the workshop is dedicated to the programming language Elm. The event will take place on November 4 (Saturday) in our office, which is located at Straupes iela 5, k-1 in Riga.
We are very excited that this meet-up will be organized together with Google Developers Group Riga (GDG Riga). We have long been dreaming of organizing something useful and fascinating together since both organizations – Diatom and GDG Riga – faithfully preserve their passion for technology.
More about Elm and the event
What is Elm? The creators of Elm call it a delightful language for reliable web apps and a tool that can guarantee great performance without runtime exceptions.
The host of this event will be Janis Miezitis, our talented senior Ruby developer, who is always very curious about new ways of doing things. Here are welcoming words from Janis about the forthcoming event: “I’m very excited to share my experience with Elm with you. The workshop will begin with a brief introduction to Elm. After the introduction, we are going to build a to-do app that will leverage local storage for persistence. See you there!”
The duration of the workshop is 3 hours.
If this sounds like something that you would love to attend, please RSVP here. Seats are limited.
