We are glad to inform you that Diatom Enterprises has passed the quality system re-audit and as a result moved to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard.
ISO abbreviation stands for “International Organization of Standardization”, so when a company is ISO 9001-certified, it is recognized to have a high-level, quality management system. The new version of the standard now follows the same overall structure as other ISO management system standards.
Diatom Enterprises produces custom software for a variety of industries and is proficient in .NET, Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, ReactJS and other technologies. Since becoming Microsoft Certified partner in far 2007 Diatom continues to work hard and maintain high custom software development standards. Earning the ISO certificate is a new significant point in Diatom’s history that ensures our commitment to being compliant with global quality management standards.
Last year Diatom passed the ISO for the first time officially confirming our ability to consistently provide services that meet customer’s needs, showing that our management systems are effective and our processes are well-regulated. The auditors checked not only our software development working processes, but also project management, development tools, quality management, reporting tools, our client relationship management, etc. After all the procedures we obtained our first ISO 9001:2008 certification.
As per the ISO rules, a company shall re-audit every year but Diatom also decided to upgrade the certification and obtain the latest version of ISO certification. Thus, not so long ago we had re-audit, during which no critical violations were revealed.
Evgueny Lemasov, our COO and Quality Assurance Manager says: “We are very glad to receive ISO 9001:2015. We always want to make sure our custom software development services are of the highest quality, and that our working processes are solid and transparent”.
Darja Krizska-Popova, our internal auditor, adds: “The version of the year 2015 focuses on the risk-based thinking. It’s one of the major differences between the new and the old versions, but it wasn’t a surprise for us as we always pay great attention to planning and include risk analysis and risk management into our daily routine”.
Special thank goes to…
We heartily say a big “Thank you!” to Diatom executives for the support and to our one and only Darja, who helped to acquire this certification for the second time!
We also extend our gratitude to Certification Association “Russian Register” that kindly assisted us during the certification process and ran a seminar on the major ISO version differences, as well as to the whole Diatom team that made our achievement possible.
